German-Italian mezzo-soprano, lives in Berlin and Athens and is associated with the Berlin Concert Choir as a voice coach and soloist. The 2024/25 season will bring her to the opera stage with Verdi's Requiem in the Berlin Philharmonie as well as new roles such as Amneris, Erda and Principessa Bouillon (Adriana Lecouvreur).
As a fellow of the EU initiative Culture Moves Europe, she performed in 2024 with the ALMA MUSICA project in Venice, Udine, the Follina Monastery (UNESCO) and the Konzerthaus Berlin, among others.
Her repertoire ranges from baroque to modern and includes works by Bach, Handel, Mozart, Rossini, Mahler, Elgar and numerous contemporary world premieres. Engagements have taken her to the Frankfurt Opera, Hanover State Opera and the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe, among others.
Ricarda studied in Trieste and Würzburg, received important impulses from Grace Bumbry and Cheryl Studer and speaks five languages fluently.
In addition to her artistic activities, Ricarda Gross-Khachaturian is passionate about promoting young talent. As a member of the BDG, she teaches singing in her own studio in Berlin and works as a vocal coach with various choirs and ensembles in Berlin and Brandenburg, including the Berlin Concert Choir.
