Berliner Konzert Chor

Dear audience,

an exciting year is coming to an end for us.

We look back on a special concert on 17 October 2023. We performed the Chichester Psalms by Leonard Bernstein, followed by a world premiere with the Canadian singer and songwriter Michael Friedman and his band - "und wir schweben davon - SONGS OF HOPE" - which left an unforgettable impression on all participants.

On 9 December 2023, we had the pleasure of performing Johann Sebastian Bach's Christmas Oratorio, Cantatas 1-3 and 6, at the sold-out Konzerthaus Berlin. The concert evening ended in an atmospheric way with the popular German Christmas carol “Oh du fröhliche”, traditionally sung together with the audience.

"Peace on earth and good will to men"! With these words, we wish you, dear audience, and all of us, a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

We are very much looking forward to ending our concert season on 18 March 2024 with Johann Sebastian Bach's St Matthew Passion, once again at the Konzerthaus am Gendarmenmarkt. This time the concert will begin at 7 pm.

First performed in 1727, the St Matthew Passion is one of the pinnacle works of Protestant choral music. You can expect a monumental and moving work with a cast of soloists, two orchestras and two choirs.

Concert tickets can already be purchased via our Papagena ticket service.
